SaveUp helps you skip things you were about to buy and save for what you actually want. This page explains what we collect to do that, and what we never do.

The short version

• SaveUp never moves your money and never sees your bank login.
• We don't sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it to show you ads.
• Your boards are private. Nobody else can see what you're saving for.
• The browser extension only runs on stores you turn on, and only sends us a product when you tap a button.

What we collect

• Your account: your email address, used to sign you in and send order emails.
• What you save: your boards, the items on them (name, store, link, price, photo), money you log, the things you skip and your orders.
• Your ZIP code, if you add one, to estimate sales tax. We never ask for your exact location.
• Photos you upload for your items.
• Waitlist emails, if you ask to hear when the extension or iPhone app is ready.

The SaveUp Chrome extension

• It only runs where you allow it. Nothing happens on a site until you click the SaveUp button there and give Chrome permission for that one store. You can turn it off for a store at any time.
• It reads the product in your browser. On a store you've turned on, the extension looks for the product's name, price, photo and stated shipping on the page you're viewing. That happens on your device.
• It sends a product only when you tap. When you tap Save for it, Skip it or Sleep on it, the extension sends that product's name, price, photo, shipping and page address to SaveUp. Nothing else about the page, and nothing about other pages or your browsing history.
• It keeps your SaveUp sign-in in Chrome's extension storage, so it can save to your account.
• Sleep on it reminders are scheduled in Chrome and shown as a Chrome notification.

Who helps us run SaveUp

We use a small number of service providers, only to run SaveUp: Supabase (database, sign-in and photo storage), Vercel (hosting the website) and Resend (sending sign-in and order emails). They process data on our behalf and aren't allowed to use it for anything else.

Your choices

• Remove your ZIP code any time in Settings.
• Turn the extension off for any store from its card or toolbar button, or remove it from Chrome.
• Ask us to delete your account and everything in it by emailing support@thesaveup.com.
